Course Description

This course will build upon the foundations taught in Introduction to Lomi Lomi and add new techniques to the existing routine. A full body lomi lomi routine will be taught sequentially, with students learning to massage small sections of the body at a time. Lessons will include some basic anatomy, common conditions related to each section of the body and how to treat clients using lomi lomi techniques. Students will also learn breath, movement exercises, opening chants and self-care techniques to help maintain longevity in their practice.

Learner Outcomes

Students who successfully complete the course will be able to:

  • Perform a full body lomi lomi session of 60-120 minutes.
  • Perform an opening Pule and closing Kaulike.
  • Perform Range of motion and stretching techniques for hips and shoulders.
  • Comfortably work under the body utilizing client’s bodyweight to achieve desired pressure.
  • Demonstrate proper body mechanics, sequence and technique.
