Course Description

Kapi?olani Community College through OCET-International Short-Term Program (STP) will provide a unique intensive Hawaiian Food Culture Program for the students of Osaka International University (OIU).  This program is designed for the students to understand food culture in Hawai?i through various activities.  This includes the traditional and modern food culture in Hawai?i and current issues on nutrition.  

Learner Outcomes

By the end of the program, the students will be able to:

  1. Describe Food in Hawai?i
  2. Identify the differences on food culture between Hawai?i and Japan,
  3. Define current issues on nutrition and food in Hawai?i
