Course Description

This course focuses on providing the cognitive knowledge and psychomotor skills necessary to become a nationally registered Emergency Medical Technician (EMT). EMTs provide out of hospital emergency medical care and transportation for critical and emergent patients who access the emergency medical services (EMS) system. This course meets the curriculum standards set forth by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
