HOSP8200 - Professional Training for Tour Drivers and Guides
Course Description
Hawaii's tour drivers and guides are responsible for displaying professionalism, sharing knowledge of the Hawaiian culture with accuracy, exhibiting diplomacy and protocol in serving visitors from around the globe. Additionally, you are accountable for caring for the aina while providing an engaging, memorable and safe travel experience for your customers. During this 10-hour course, you will recall the reason you pursued a career in the tour industry and why your sense of professionalism is held to such high standards. Also learn to enhance important communication skills such as interpretation and storytelling, while learning to customize tours for your audiences. The certification exam will be given on the last day of class.
