Course Description

In addition to the theories, principles, and practice of contemporary public relations, and its role in organizations, and society, you will learn public relations in the context of today’s digital world. You will enjoy hands-on, real world discussions and experiences that will provide insight into the changes taking place in this field.

Module 2: Effective Writing for Public Relations

Topics in this module include how to write a killer release for a small business and how to write letters for fund-raising. You will also learn to use online fund-raising like Kickstarter and GoFundMe. Additional topics include when to write a media release and when and how to pitch a story. You will write a press release, a fund-raising letter, and a media pitch which you will present.
