Course Description

Fortuna Cooley is a local personal chef with over 20 years' experience, who specializes in good cooking for clients who want to eat good, hearty, and healthy food. She spent years working at spas and restaurants in Arizona, Mexico, and California. Course Outline

Indian food  has a big following in Hawaii. And there aren't so many places to get your fix. So what if you had recipes that would give you the flavors of India on a week night in your own kitchen? That's what Chef Fortuna is here for. She's for a menu that's fun, tasty, and versatile. We'll be cooking shrimp vindaloo, butter chicken, simple samosas, a lovely mint chutney to dip them in, and time allowing, Chef Fortuna will demonstrate how to make a refreshing sweet (not salty!) lassi drink.

Students will learn to interpret recipes and use standard kitchen tools and cooking techniques to produce home style dishes.
