Course Description

Chef Grant continues with his popular cooking fundamentals series. Every class begins with a lecture, followed by a cooking demonstration and then hands-on cooking! Chef Sato enjoys preparing simple, flavorful food utilizing locally grown products with an emphasis on Asian/Pacific flavor, local tastes and classic techniques. 

Course Outline

Chef Grant's Korean food has been in high demand. After winning an international Korean cooking competition, he has been asked to make special dinners for the Korean consulate and other VIPs. He is reaching deep into his knowledge of authentic Korean food to bring you this tasty menu. You'll learn how to make dongchimi (water kim chee), wang-jeon (meat and tofu patties), and doengjang chigae (fermented soy bean paste soup). 

Learner Outcomes

Students will learn to interpret recipes and use standard kitchen tools and cooking techniques to produce home style healthy dishes.
