Course Description

In this introductory course, participants will delve into the role and responsibilities of the business analyst (BA) - the communication link between all business areas and a critical player in project success. They will learn techniques for ensuring project success every step of the way, from identifying and analyzing potential projects to making sure that the final project product meets the identified requirements. This core class provides a basic understanding of the functions and business impact of the business analyst role. It focuses on business analysis functions as they relate to the development of enterprise-wide solutions and the business analysis project life cycle. Course topics include the role of the business analyst, gathering and documenting user requirements, modeling the business, business case analysis, process modeling, and quality management and testing.
