Course Description

Wine is a wonderful drink. But too often we (Americans) tend to think of it as a special occasion beverage and not a daily pleasure. And part of the reason is that we're just overwhelmed with the choices out there- thousands of brand names and dozens of grape varieties. It can be a bit intimidating. But fear no more! We are proud to announce that Hawaii's own Master Sommelier Patrick Okubo will be teaching a six-part series on wine tasting here at KCC! Whether you're a sophisticated supper, or an absolute beginner, we've got something for you. Patrick will cover Basic Tasting, Viticulture and Winemaking, French Basics, South American Wines, California Wine Regions and finally, the basics of Food and Wine Pairing.
