This course will build on basic GIS skills to add spatial analysis techniques, including queries, working with raster datasets, and simple spatial models. Working with ESRI ArcGIS Desktop software, students will learn how to apply GIS to answer natural resource management, conservation and precision agriculture questions. Prior GIS knowledge is required. Recommended prerequisites: Intro to GIS for Natural Resources and Agricultural Management. Instructor approval required if students do not complete Intro to GIS for Natural Resources and Agricultural Management.
Course counts towards the Advanced GIS Certificate.
