Course Description

This course is designed for individuals responsible for managing projects of all sizes and is new to the process. Participants will learn basic skills on planning a  project to ensure successful delivery and stakeholder satisfaction by leading a team and manage a project effectively, estimating and scheduling task work, duration and estimated costs and implementing monitoring tools to keep you in command of the project and team. Topics covered:

  • Managing the project processes and issues
  • Creating a realistic and achievable project plan
  • Understanding customer and team member expectations
  • Leading throughout the project life cycle
  • Building a project plan
  • Defining a project workload
  • Building and managing a budget
  • Scheduling the project
  • Implementing the plan

Learner Outcomes

Participants will be able to identify the process of project management.

Participants will be able to identify specific steps to create and implement a project plan.
