Course Description

Course Description:  On the slopes of Diamond Head rests the Culinary Institute of the Pacific.  The land is rich in history and culture.  Chef Chad Nakamura and Dante Camara will guide you along a special journey. Dante Camara will talk about the importance of this place and how food played a big part in its past, present and future.  Chef Chad will then demonstrate and prepare a sumptuous menu of:  Panfried Kalua Pork Cutlet-Katsu with Stewed Ulu infused with Butter, Garlic, Thyme and Macadamia Nuts accompanied by a Lomi Lomi Relish.

Student Learning Outcomes:  By the end of the webinar, participants will:

1).  Learn about Diamond Head.

2).  Gain Knowledge with the use of ingredients and techniques.

3).  Learn something the entire family can do and enjoy together.

Speaker Bio:  Chef Chad Nakamura has an extensive culinary background and experience in working in kitchens around the world including the continental U.S., Switzerland, and Austria.  He is a graduate of The Culinary Institute of America and a member of the American Culinary Federation, International Food Service Executive Association and American Management Association International.
