Course Description

Both the State of Hawaii and the City and County of Honolulu have open data policies and are making government data available through cloud-based online portals. Much of this data is geographic, that is, it has a location that allows it to be drawn on a map. ArcGIS Online has mapping tools that allow you to easily create Web maps that combine State, County, Federal, and other online mapping data into useful information products. In this course, you will learn how to create a free ArcGIS Online public account and how to use that account to create and share Web maps with the public.
