Course Outline:
Monday: Introduction to Painting Tools & Surface Preparation Proper use of basic hand tools: putty knife, caulking gun, brushes, rollers (6”/9”) Introduction to spray pump and spray gun Surface preparation: putty application and caulking (8 hours) Cleaning and maintaining tools
Tuesday: Surface Inspection & Priming Checking surfaces for caulking shrinkage and putty application Masking windows, floors, and other surfaces Priming surfaces using brushes, rollers, and spray pumps (8 hours)
Wednesday: Painting Techniques & Application Applying primer and paint to designated surfaces (8 hours) Hands-on practice with brushes, rollers, and spray pumps
Thursday: Detail Work & Trim Painting Painting trims around windows, corners, and door entryways (8 hours)
Friday: Final Inspection, Touch-Ups & Cleanup Reviewing painted areas for full coverage and making touch-ups Maintenance of spray pumps and spray guns Cleaning work areas, demasking windows and floors Course Objectives:
