This course is an introduction to acting. Students will practice a variety of individual and group exercises for developing stage performance techniques.

·         Demonstrate breathing exercises used in properly projecting the voice

This course is an introduction to acting. Students will practice a variety of individual and group exercises for developing stage performance techniques.

Fundamentals of contemporary acting styles for stage and screen, including self-awareness, character, and scene work.

Students will learn the definitions and terminology of dramatic performance; develop the ability to interpret in an original fashion scenes and monologs from the standard dramatic repertoire; and develop effective vocal projection as well as other stage performance techniques.
