ART3017 - Teens & Kapi'olani CC Students - Beginning I Taiko "Nice & Easy"
Course Description
An introductory class that teaches the fundamentals of Taiko drumming in an accessible way including proper grip, stance, form, Japanese terminology, etiquette, and simple practice pieces.Learner Outcomes
You will learn the following:
- Basics of Taiko musicality
- Terminology and etiquette specific to Taiko
- Stress release
- Mind/body coordination
- Social engagement

For: Ages 12-17 and Kapi'olani CC Students
No class on October 1, 2024. Required supplies: Drumsticks (available for purchase on 1st day of class) Teens and Kapi'olani CC Students Drumsticks: $28, $30, $32 (size and wood variation) Earplugs: $3 (optional)
