Course Description

Learn to sew women’s swimwear using reversible sewing techniques with a serger sewing machine. Students will learn about spandex stretch fabric, how to follow and create swimwear patterns, sizing, sewing with a serger as well as single needle sewing machines, and will complete multiple swimwear pieces.

Learner Outcomes

At the end of this course, the student will be able to: 
1. Use patterns and cut fabric
2. Thread a serger & adjust tensions for stretch fabric 
3. Knowledge of spandex fabric
4. Sizing for swimwear, patterns and adjustments 5. Hand stitch techniques
6. Sew Swimwear from patterns
