Course Description

An introductory class that teaches the fundamentals of SHIME DAIKO (SMALL ROPED LASHED/BOLT DRUM) drumming.  The Shime Daiko often keeps the base beat, holds the ensemble together and requires finesse and good technique.  Instruction will include proper grip, stance, form, and simple practice pieces.

By the end of the course you will learn the following:
