Course Description

Biography 

Dr. Miku Lenentine is a seasoned yoga instructor and meditation guide with over two decades of experience. Certified by Yoga Alliance and the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy (ANFT), she integrates yoga asana, tai chi, and mindfulness in her holistic teaching approach. Raised in a mindfulness tradition, Miku began meditating at the age of 7 and has been guiding meditation and movement practices since 2013. Her vibrant, grounded style emphasizes inner awareness, balance, and resilience.

 

Passionate about fostering wellness in educational settings, Miku has taught yoga and mindfulness at the University of Hawai'i’s Center for Teaching Excellence, JABSOM, HSSI and in collaboration with Lamaku at Kapi'olani Community College. She actively strives to contribute to a campus culture of thriving, sustainability and “wellness for resilience” by helping students, staff, and faculty renew their spirits, bodies, hearts, and minds. Miku is deeply honored to share her practice and honored to take part in the first Ku Punawai series for Kapi’olani Community College.

 

Course Description

The Ku Punawai Yoga Series is a 5-week, 1-hour class offering a refreshing pause through yoga, meditation, and mindfulness. Open to all levels, this series is designed to help participants build resilience, renew their energy, and connect with themselves in a supportive environment. Led by Dr. Miku Lenentine, this class focuses on fostering well-being for students, staff, and faculty at Kapi'olani Community College, promoting a culture of thriving and sustainability. Join this series to pause, thrive, and flow toward a more balanced and vibrant campus life.

Please dress comfortably and bring a mat or towel for floor-based practices -- and a personal blanket to keep warm as the room can be quite cool. We'll be seated on the floor, so plan accordingly. Cushions and bolsters will be available for use.  No need to change clothes as long as you're comfortable.
