The Creative Industries pathway prepares individuals to thrive in sectors like design, advertising, film, music, fashion, gaming, and more. It focuses on fostering innovation, technical skills, and an entrepreneurial mindset. Students typically engage with courses in creative expression, technology, business strategies, and cultural studies. This pathway emphasizes collaboration, problem-solving, and adaptability skills, leading to careers in artistic production, media, content creation, and creative entrepreneurship.

Current in-demand career opportunities include Digital Design, Production Accounting, Acting, Esports and Production Craft pathways.

Learner Outcomes

Participate in an advising program for creative industries college and career pathways guided by a Good Jobs Hawaii navigator. Learn about in-demand occupation and training opportunities to pursue a career in the creative industries field. Your dedicated navigator will also share potential educational funding programs such as WIOA and other grants to support pathway costs and make referrals for wrap-around services.

Notes

Participants will join info sessions, advising interviews and service referral meetings to support their pathway exploration and advancement.

Prerequisites

Complete an application as a current resident of Hawaii, minimum 16 years of age and U.S. citizen, permanent resident or COFA status.
