Calling all food lovers! Leeward Community College’s non-credit culinary courses offer instructor-led, hands-on cooking experiences throughout the year. Learn to prepare restaurant-quality dishes using approachable techniques designed for the home kitchen. No prior culinary experience required.

Section Notes

Join us for a hands-on sushi course designed for curious home cooks and food lovers. In this non-credit course, students will learn how to properly prepare and season sushi rice before creating temaki hand rolls and makizushi rolls. Participants will proactive rolling technique, ingredient selection, and presentation tips while enjoying a relaxed and engaging culinary experience.  No experience needed. Please wear comfortable, kitchen-appropriate attire with hair pulled back in a hair tie, headband or hat, long pants, and closed-toe, flat, rubber-soled shoes. All knives and equipment are provided.
