Course Description

Introduces the preparation of Federal and State of Hawai'i individual income tax returns with an emphasis on tax law and regulations and their applications to tax returns. This course is intended for an individual preparing basic individual tax returns under the supervision of an accounting professional.

Notes

Enrollment in this course through EDvance is a non-credit option, however, course is available for credit. In order to receive college credit, participants must inform instructor at the beginning of the course and successfully complete course with a "C" or better.

Due to a limited number of non-credit seats available and enrollment priority given to traditional credit students, if course becomes over-enrolled, you may have to be removed from the course and refunded.

For in-person or hybrid class sections, students will need to submit and clear all necessary health clearances with Med+Proctor.

Prerequisites

1. “C” or better in Eng 21 or “C” or better in ESL 21 or “C” or better in Eng 22 or (“C” or better in ESL 22G and “C” or better in ESL 22W) or placement in Eng 100 or placement in Eng 100E or placement in Eng 102 or equivalent experience.

Hybrid (Combination of F2F and Online Asynchronous): Part of the class will meet on campus in-person at the scheduled days and times. The remaining class instruction and learning activities will be online Asynchronously posted on a site such as Laulima/Lamakū without specific meeting times.
