Course Description

Workforce Development Readiness is a content-based education experience for individuals interested in preparing to enter the workforce. Each class provides a hands-on, content-rich educational experience that encourages active engagement. Instruction will be provided through a 5-week module of topics including: Introduction to Workforce Readiness, Workforce Professional Development and Career Growth, Job Application and Interview Preparedness, and Workplace Skills. Each module will include study of relevant vocabulary, problem solving using workplace scenarios, critical thinking, and practicing English listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills to effectively communicate with leadership, co-workers, and customers.
