Course Description

This hands-on American Heart Association course is designed for students preparing for construction and related trades careers. Students will learn how to respond to common first aid emergencies, perform CPR, and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) effectively. Ideal for those seeking OSHA-aligned training or jobsite readiness, this one-day, hands-on course provides a two-year certification upon successful completion. No prior medical training required. Free for students currently enrolled in construction-related programs (CARP, EIMT, RAC, SMPT, WELD) at Honolulu Community College for Fall 2025.
