Course Description

The Certificate of Competence (CO) in Cybersecurity is designed to prepare students for the entry level positions in the field of cybersecurity support and analysis. This certificate consists of four courses - ICS 101 (covers office and Internet technologies), ICS 169 (introduction to information security), ICS 184 (introduction to computer networks) and ICS 171 (introduction to computer security). Graduates of this certificate will be ready to sit for the industry-standard certifications from CompTIA - Network+ and Security+.

Notes

Students who have already completed ICS 101 are waived from taking the course and will enroll in Fall 2023 courses.

Prerequisites

1. Interview to review program requirements and confirm employment goals.
2. Students must complete the certificate requirements by Spring 2024.
