Course Description

Sifu Dan Takamura offers Taichi classes for health and wellness and Kung Fu classes for Self-defense while learning internal and external power for cardio and fitness. Part of the Maui Chinese Martial Academy for over 25 years, he has done Lion Dances, Kung Fu, and Tai Chi performances.  Tao style was known for its mystical and spiritual side of Kung Fu. Instructors will teach you how to utilize your internal and external strengths and increase your spiritual power. Individuals will have the opportunity to learn a one-of-a-kind martial art. Beginners will learn eight steps, six blocks, and basic five elemental sets and as they improve they will learn other more advanced forms. All students must complete a UHMC Liability Waiver Form before partaking in our fitness classes. Please bring water and a towel if necessary, comfortable clothing and shoes are recommended
