ENR6061 - Surface Design and Pattern in Textile

Course Description

Are there ideas you have always wanted to develop but don't know how? Do you think some fabric patterns can be drab? Have you ever wanted to create your own colorful clothing fabric patterns? Surface Design and Pattern is any type of artwork (pattern, illustration, hand lettering, etc.) made by a designer that is intended to be applied to a surface to enhance its visual appearance and/or functionality. In this class, you will learn to create basic designs and patterns to start publishing textiles or artwork. Your instructor will take you through the process of using a simple iPad app and guide you to add drawings, color, texture, and transition elements for your own unique patterns.  Note: Designs will be conducted on your required personal Apple iPad using the Apple Pen with the Procreate app.
