Course Description

This solar-plus-storage course offered on-demand through Solar Energy International (SEI) will cover the current National Electrical Code (NEC) 2023 and 2020 requirements for photovoltaic (PV) systems that integrate energy storage systems (ESS). This course is intended for electrical contractors, solar installers, building officials, engineers, and designers who are already familiar with grid-interactive systems, but want to understand NEC requirements specific to solar-plus-storage systems.

The course will provide training on the following topics:

Identify different solar-plus-storage system configurations
Identify the relevant NEC Sections for solar-plus-storage installations
Review applicable 2020 and 2023 NEC Articles and Sections
Discuss installation requirements for various system configurations as related to Code requirements.
