Course Description

In this course, students will learn the basics of resin art, including safety precautions, the different types of resin, dos and don'ts and best practices when handling and creating with resin. Class will begin with an oral presentation, and followed with a tutorial of various techniques. Students will then create a pair of coasters or a pair of ornaments. Students will finish their projects with a top layer to ensure their final creation is smooth.

* Students should be warned that resin can ruin clothing, and while aprons will be provided, they should wear something that they don't mind getting dirty. Students will also be required to wear a face mask and glasses for safety. Students with long hair should tie it back.

Learner Outcomes

Upon completion of this class, students should understand how to safely handle resin, which resin they should use for each project and successfully use resin to create a project.
