Course Description

Visualizing data and sharing it among the consumers inside your organization has more value than having data in database servers. Although the availability of data is important, to be able to visualize all aspects of the data serves the bottom line of an organization is more important.

PowerBI makes it possible to not only visualize data but helps you make quick decisions. PowerBI allows you to connect to data from a wide variety of data sources, both traditional database servers but also from online data; it creates a model and then you start exploring data in a variety of ways, producing a wide array of graphs and presentation which you can publish, share or collaborate.

PowerBI targets naïve, intermediate and advanced users. PowerBI has capabilities built to accommodate all experience levels.

This course however, is aimed at beginner users with limited data experience enabling you to adhoc-visualize data and generate reports. Specifically, you will have an introduction to PowerBI Desktop, one of the PowerBI products, and see how to access data and visualize it from a couple of sources. Although the course is partly hands-on, it is meant to provide an introduction to the topic.
