Course Description

This professional certification provides required training to employees in areas of sanitation safety, personal hygiene and temperature controls in the hospitality, wholesale and retail food industries. With successful passing of the examination, participants will receive a ServSafe Food Manager certificate. Participants purchase all materials a minimum of seven days prior to the class. Earn the ServSafe certification the industry standard certification in food safety. The training covers topics including Basic Food Safety, Personal Hygiene, Cross-contamination and Allergens, Time and Temperature, Cleaning and Sanitation. Those who pass the exam with scores 75% or better, receive a Certificate valid for five years. This class has limited to face to face seating if offered on campus. The class may be offered online through ZOOM media. Students will need a reliable internet connection as well as a computer for access.
