Course Description

When there is an abundance of fresh produce, have you ever wondered, "what can I make with this to enjoy it for a longer period of time"?  Well, Chef Grant will show you how to make some basic and delicious condiments and preserves, triple citrus marmalade, onion jam, pickled cauliflower and carrots, and spiced grape tomatoes.  They make the perfect homemade holiday gift for friends and family.


Learner Outcomes

After completion, students will be able to:

  • Create basic condiments and preserves
  • Identify tools and equipment


As a safety precaution, participants in all culinary classes are required to wear covered, non-slip shoes (e.g. athletic shoes) and comfortable long pants. Aprons or any other personal items may also be brought to class. The college will not be held responsible if such items are lost or stolen.
