Course Description

Chef Dan Wetter continues his popular baking series featuring items that are full of butter, sugar, and leavening agents.  Your next step in exploration of bakery goods, you will learn how to make rich doughs, i.e., lots of butter, sugar, and yeast to make things fluffy and tasty.  In this class you learn how to make cinnamon rolls, sweet bread, and sticky buns. 

Learner Outcomes

After the completion, students will be able to:

  • Learn the function of ingredients used in Rich Yeast Breads
  • Learn the improved, and intensive methods
  • Learn proper bulk fermentation, temperature, and time

Classroom Safety:

As a safety precaution, participants in all culinary classes are required to wear covered, non-slip shoes (e.g., athletic shoes) and comfortable long pants. Aprons or any other personal items may also be brought to class. The college will not be held responsible if such items are lost or stolen.
