Course Description
Back by popular demand, Chef Grant teaches you how to make a basic steamed mochi that you will stuff with Azuki An and fresh strawberries, kiwi and White An, and An Okinawan sweet potato Ohagi, just in time for the May 5th Children's Day festivities!Learner Outcomes
After completion, students will be able to:
- Create these new Japanese desserts: Azuki An, White An, and Okinawan sweet potato Ohagi.
- Identify cooking tools and proper food preparation and handling techniques.
Notes
Classroom Safety:
As a safety precaution, participants in all culinary classes are required to wear covered, non-slip shoes (e.g., athletic shoes) and comfortable long pants. Aprons or any other personal items may also be brought to class. The college will not be held responsible if such items are lost or stolen.
