Course Description

The Process Technology program prepares participants for careers as operators at chemical plants, refineries, power plants and waste-water treatment facilities.  The program consists of nine modules that led to a Certificate of Professional Development.

Learner Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
1. Identify and recognize work performed by process operators.
2. Determine career goals and objectives in order to effectively transition to the process industry.
3. Display effective time management and communication skills in the workplace.
4. Demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and aptitudes developed in the classroom and laboratory to an actual process environment.

Prerequisites

At least 18 years old, high school diploma or equivalent, 10th grade math and 11th grade reading recommended, physical exam clearance.
