Course Description

This course is ideal for beginners interested in learning about astronomy. The emphasis is to learn the use of a telescope and to be able to find objects in the night sky. By end completion of the class, participants should be able to understand the difference between objects such as: planets, stars, and moons. Additionally, participants should be able to understand the yearly change of the night sky. 

Learner Outcomes

Upon Succcessful completion of the course, participants should be able to:

1) use a telescope

2) find objects in the sky

3) understand the difference bewtween obejcts (for example: stars, moon, planets)

4) understand the yearly change of the night sky
