Course Description

One of Mexico’s greatest contributions to American food culture is the humble taco. Americans love tacos. They’re the perfect quick meal: easy to make, super tasty and it’s easy to eat heaps of them at a sitting. Chef Adriana has some great simple and delicious taco recipes for you to try. We’ll be making a classic, tacos de carne asada (seared marinated beef), tacos de rajas con queso y elote (roasted poblano peppers with onions, cheese and roasted corn), and wonderfully spicy tacos de tinga (braised chicken cooked in a chipotle sauce). Buen provecho!

Learner Outcomes

Students will learn to interpret recipes and use standard kitchen tools and cooking techniques to produce home style dishes.
