Course Description

A well-rounded chef should always have a great dessert (or two or three) up their sleeve—a dessert that is simple, but delicious, a dessert that can be served plain and simple or lavishly decorated, and most importantly, a dessert that can make everybody happy. What fits all those criteria better than mini-cakes? Not cupcakes, but delicious small cakes that can serve one or many. Versatile Chef Grant will teach you how to make a variety of creative mini-cakes. We’ll be making a molten red velvet cake, coconut cake, gingerbread cake and an incredible crème brulee cake. 

Learner Outcomes

Students will learn to interpret recipes and use standard kitchen tools and cooking techniques to produce home style dishes.
