Course Description

Last time Fortuna taught this class, everyone loved her take on dishes in the style of popular American restaurants. So she’s back with a new menu that hopefully will seem familiar, but maybe even a little better than your favorite food haunts. Fortuna will show you how to make a wonderful Asian salad with a carrot ginger dressing, a Chinese chicken salad with black pepper sauce, and a pasta primavera based on a dish from New York’s famous Le Cirque restaurant. And, finally, she’ll teach you how to make a refreshing Thai iced tea!

Learner Outcomes

Students will learn to interpret recipes and use standard kitchen tools and cooking techniques to produce home style dishes.
