Course Description

According to Ayurvedic and ancient Chinese traditions, each food has the ability to affect the energies in our bodies by “heating” or “cooling” us when we eat them. These concepts have carried over into modern holistic recipes and Alyssa wants to teach you some delicious ways to keep cool this summer. On the menu will be a cucumber salad with a cilantro lime vinaigrette, a Chinese style cold ginger tofu with an Asian slaw, papaya kanten and a thirst quenching lemony watermelon mint cooler!

Learner Outcomes

Students will learn to interpret recipes and use standard kitchen tools and cooking techniques to produce home style dishes.
