Course Description

Chef Lot will teach you all the basics of chocolate tempering, coating, making ganache, filling the shells, and hand rolling truffles.  This is a class to help you make some fancy treats just in time for Easter. 

Learner Outcomes

Upon completion of the course, the students will be able to identify couvorature chocolate and coating chocolate, they will be able to understand what effect heat and fat has on chocolate, and they will be able to evaluate the difference between hard shell chocolates vs no shell chocolates.

Classroom Safety:

As a safety precaution, participants in all culinary classes are required to wear covered, non-slip shoes (e.g., athletic shoes) and comfortable long pants. Aprons or any other personal items may also be brought to class. The college will not be held responsible if such items are lost or stolen.
