How to apply sustainability science in communities like ours …wait, there is no other! Loss of water? Too narrow an economic base? Flooding, drought, traffic, affordability? Maui faces constant stresses and threats to our quality of life. Too many times these result from choosing easy convenience or perhaps profit, even when the benefits sought are questionable and short-term. That is an unsustainability rut. Starting with your vision for what Maui should be in 50 years, we will seek knowledge and apply practices geared toward retaining our integrity and remaining the envy of the world.
