Course Description

This program will introduce medical professions (clinical engineering, medical assistance and emergency medical services) to Tokyo College of  Medico-Pharmaco Technology students participating in the 2-day intensive program for Tokyo College of  Medico-Pharmaco Technology program 2014 University of Hawai‘i - Kapi‘olani Community College. The training program will focus on clinical engineering, medical assistance and emergency medical services in Hawai‘i and the United States. Students are encouraged to speak English at most, deepen professional understanding, and broaden their horizons.

Learner Outcomes

By the end of program, the students will be able to:

  1. Describe the basic principles and concepts of clinical engineering, medical assistance and emergency medical services of the United States/Hawai?i;
  2. Demonstrate an example of the professions;
  3. Apply the knowledge of the professional concepts and skills in actual setting.
