Interested in preparing great tasting healthy food and learning a little about nutrition at the same time? We’ve prepared a series of great classes with chefs that will expand your culinary repertoire and give insight into eating for wellness. 

As a personal chef for with over 25 years experience, Alyssa Moreau has made a reputation among her clientele for creating delicious vegetarian meals. As a food lover with a strong interest in healthy diets, Alyssa combines good flavor with good nutrition and practical tips for the home cook.

 

Course Outline

One of the best ways to work more veggies into your daily routine is make them look and smell irresistibly delicious. And one of the best ways to make them delicious is to whip up a great Indian spiced dish. Vegetables are pretty irresistible when cooked up with an aromatic masala. And Alyssa loves to cook Indian style food. For this class, she's chosen an easy mulligatawny soup (perfect for cooler weather), spinach dal, aloo phujia (spiced potatoes, onions, and tomatoes), and coconut rice. Time allowing, Alyssa will also demonstrate how to make a lovely chai tea

Learner Outcomes

Students will learn to interpret recipes and use standard kitchen tools and cooking techniques to produce home style dishes.
