Course Description

If you’re trying to eat healthier, it’s particularly challenging to eat a healthy breakfast (low sugar, low fat) that’s also quick and tasty. So Alyssa is going to help you with some of her favorite tried and true breakfast recipes. In this class, we’ll be making a couple of great “bake and take” breakfast recipes: banana oatmeal muffins and oat-date scones. Alyssa will show you how to whip up a tofu omelet/scramble and then teach you how to make homemade granola and overnight chia oats (breakfast in a jar!).

Interested in preparing great tasting healthy food and learning a little about nutrition at the same time? We’ve prepared a series of great classes with chefs that will expand your culinary repertoire and give insight into eating for wellness. As a personal chef for with over 25 years experience, Alyssa Moreau has made a reputation among her clientele for creating delicious vegetarian meals. As a food lover with a strong interest in healthy diets, Alyssa combines good flavor with good nutrition and practical tips for the home cook.

Learner Outcomes

Students will learn to interpret recipes and use standard kitchen tools and cooking techniques to produce home style dishes.
