Each class features a complete menu: appetizer, salad, entrée and dessert.

Course Outline

Sitting at the crossroads between East and West, the flavors of Lebanon are robust, earthy and wonderful. Gifted with foods grown in its wonderful climate and influenced by French culture, Lebanese cuisine is, according to some, the epitome of Mediterranean cuisine. Chef Magdy will teach you how to make a classic Lebanese meal. We’ll start with a demonstration on how to make authentic hummus from scratch, we’ll make tangy and healthy tabbouleh (bulgur wheat salad with lemon, garlic, and parsley), kibbeh (Lebanese meat balls with spices and pine nuts), and for dessert, a wonderful crispy, sweet konafa made with shredded phyllo dough baked in butter, stuffed with nuts and drizzled with a clove syrup.

Learner Outcomes

Students will learn to interpret recipes and use standard kitchen tools and cooking techniques to produce home style dishes.
