Course Description

This course will provide a working introduction to the components and technical infrastructure for Office 365. The orientation is for technical support training at the tier one level. This is specifically designed for personnel providing support to other departments but is appropriate for any large organization using Office 365 in public, private or educational spheres.

This course starts with a Survey of Office 365 components including Office Online, Office 2013/2016 sync, Sites/SharePoint, Delve, Video, Yammer, OneNote, Sway, Outlook, Exchange, Calendar, Tasks, Contacts, and Sync (calendar, contacts, etc). The next section covers the Technical Infrastructure of Office 365. Topics will include Identity Management, an overview of DNS configuration, Active Directory Federated Services, Microsoft data management, SharePoint site collection, Office 365 user perspective, Office and OneDrive sync, Windows, and Mac.

The last section will include an overview of SharePoint from a support perspective. Topics will include SharePoint Lists, Forums, Work Flow, Search, Tags, and Term Store.

This course is not for the person wanting to learn to use Office 365.
