Course Description

Is your business taking advantage of open data and online mapping opportunities that have emerged in the last couple of years? Are you a government worker who needs to work with data from other government agencies? Open data policies and are making Federal, State and Local government data available through cloud-based online portals. Much of this data is geographic; it has a location that allows it to be drawn on a map. Online mapping platforms like ArcGIS Online make it easy for you to discover, use, make and share maps on any device, anywhere, anytime.

In this three-meeting course, you will have an introduction to open data for mapping and ArcGIS Online, you will then work on online mapping templates and story maps, and complete a final project: your map, your data, your device.
