Course Description

For Gr. 8-12. What does it take to be a Pilot? Navigator? Astronaut? Air Traffic Controller? Plane Mechanic? How can I solo at age 16? Learn about the laws of science behind “flight”, discover what makes common toys fly with hands-on activities, how to talk on radios using the phonetic alphabet and build self confidence through aeronautical themed games in preparation for a career or just plain fun! Your instructors will be Maui County’s 76^th Composite Squadron Civil Air Patrol staff and students. The week will culminate in a field trip to the CAP building at Kahului airport where you will gain experience in a flight simulator. Guest Speakers will include a Pilot, A&P mechanic, and more. Included: Class in Spray Paint Art.
