Fortuna Cooley is a local personal chef with over 20 years' experience, who specializes in good cooking for clients who want to eat good, hearty, and healthy food. 

Course Outline

These days fermented pro-biotic food and drink are more popular than ever. There are theories about how the beneficial bacteria in your digestive system have a substantial impact on your overall health, and possibly even your moods. Fortuna cooks for health, and has become a big fan of kombucha and other pro-biotic foods. In this class, you will make your own kombucha to take home, make a quick dish with kim chee, and learn how to do a quick and simple pickled sweet pepper recipe that we can put together with a dish of crispy pork with rice pancakes and quick pickled veggies.  

Learner Outcomes

Students will learn to interpret recipes and use standard kitchen tools and cooking techniques to produce home style dishes.
